Are these color products safe for all types of extensions?

Yes. Our formulas are crafted for use on all professional extension types, including keratin bonds, tapes, and wefts.

Will this damage the hair?

No. Pro Color gently deposits pigment without lifting or compromising the cuticle. Free of ammonia, sulfates, and harsh oxidizers, it preserves the integrity of every strand.

How is this different from traditional color?

Extension hair requires a gentler approach. Our pH-balanced formulas use natural ingredients to tone, refresh, and enhance—without causing dryness or breakage.

Can this be used on synthetic hair?

No. These products are made exclusively for 100% human hair extensions.

Can the Color Drops be mixed with other products?

Yes. They’re designed to blend seamlessly into masks, glosses, or styling treatments for custom toning and color refreshes.

Do these contain silicones or alcohol?

No. We exclude drying alcohols and heavy silicones to maintain softness, shine, and natural movement.

Are the Root Melt Color products MEA or ammonia based?

Pro Color is MEA-based (not ammonia), and does not use textile dyes.

What is the viscosity of the Root Melt Color Products?

The consistency is a no-drip crème—not a gel or liquid. It is designed for easy mixing and smooth bowl + brush application.

How long does the color last?

Our Root Melt Color products are demi-permanent and designed to last 6-8 weeks, aligning with clients 6-8 week extension growth/ move-up schedule.We recommend to use sulfate-free products and cool water to extend vibrancy.

Is there a color conversion or dupe chart available?

No direct dupe chart is available. Our colors are custom-formulated and do not have 1:1 equivalents with other brands—they are truly unique in tone and performance.

What is the size of each bottle?

Each bottle contains 2.03 fl. oz. (60 ml) of product.

What is the recommended processing time?

For toning: 10 minutes
For color deposit: 20 minutes
For testing, we suggest standardizing a 20-minute processing time for simplicity. However, stylists can adjust timing to customize results based on hair type and desired outcome.

How does the color fade over time?

The color fades evenly and gracefully, without disrupting the hair’s natural tone or undertone. In internal testing, Pro Color fades less aggressively than comparable demi-permanent options.

Can Root Melt Color be used beyond root blend?

Yes. While it’s designed specifically for root applications, stylists have successfully used it for lowlights, zone toning, and other creative techniques.

Can I use it on natural hair too?

Yes. While designed for extensions, the formulas work beautifully on natural hair for toning and glossing.

Are these products safe after keratin treatments?

Yes. They’re smoothing-treatment safe and won’t interfere with results.

Is education available?

Yes. We offer tutorials, formulas, and in-person classes to support professional use.

Do you offer free shipping on orders above a certain amount?

Yes. We offer free standard shipping on all orders of $250 or more within the continental U.S.

What should I do if there is an issue with the delivery or my package is damaged during transit?

If your order arrives damaged or you experience any delivery issues, please contact us within 3 business days of receiving your package at support@covetandmane.com. Be sure to include your order number and photos of the damaged items or packaging so we can resolve the issue promptly.

Is it possible to expedite shipping for urgent orders, and what are the associated costs?

Yes. Expedited shipping options are available at checkout. Costs will vary based on your location and the size of your order. If you need assistance placing a rush order, please email us directly at support@covetandmane.com.

Can I return my order?

Returns are accepted on unopened, unused products within 14 days of delivery. To initiate a return, contact support@covetandmane.com with your order number. Please note that original shipping fees are non-refundable and return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item was received damaged or in error.

What are the shipping options and delivery times?

We offer standard, expedited, and overnight shipping options at checkout.

Standard Shipping: 5–7 business days

Expedited Shipping: 2–3 business days

Overnight Shipping: 1 business day

Orders are processed Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. Delivery timelines begin once your order has been processed and shipped.

What should I do if there is an issue with delivery or my package is damaged during transit?

If your order is delayed, missing, or arrives damaged, please contact us at support@covetandmane.com  within 3 business days of receiving your package. Include your order number and any photos (if applicable), and our team will help make it right.

How do I start a return?

If you aren’t completely in love with your order and it’s eligible for return, simply log into your account, go to your order history, and select the items you’d like to return.

Returns must be initiated within 30 days of purchase and products must be unopened, unused, and in their original packaging to qualify for a refund.

How do I make my return?

Once your request is reviewed, we’ll email you a prepaid USPS return label within 48 hours. Please print it out and drop off your return within 7 days of receiving the label to ensure timely processing.

Can I return my order if it’s been opened?

Due to the nature of professional-use products and our commitment to safety and quality, we cannot accept returns of any opened or used items.

When will I receive my reimbursement?

After your return is received and verified to be unopened and unused, your refund will be issued to the original payment method. We process refunds on Mondays only. Once issued, please allow 5–7 business days for the funds to reflect in your account. If it takes longer, your bank or credit card provider will be your best resource.

Will shipping be refunded?

Shipping fees are non-refundable. However, return shipping is free for eligible returns.

Can saleable items be returned?

All accessories and discounted items are final sale and not eligible for return.

What carriers do you use for shipping and returns?

We ship using FedEx and USPS. All returns are processed through USPS for convenience.

How can I track my order?

To track your order, please follow these steps:

  • Order Confirmation Email: After placing your order, you should receive an order confirmation email. This email typically contains a link or a tracking number that you can use to track your shipment.
  • Online Account: If you created an account during the checkout process, log in to your account on our website. You should be able to view your order history, including tracking information for each order.
  • Order Status Page: Visit our website and navigate to the "Order Status" or "Track Order" page. Enter your order number and, if applicable, the email address used for the order. The tracking details should be displayed on this page.
  • Shipment Notification: When your order is shipped, you might receive a shipment notification email with the tracking information. This email will typically include a link that takes you directly to the carrier's tracking page.
  • Contact Customer Support: If you encounter any difficulties or have further questions about tracking your order, don't hesitate to reach out to our customer support team. They will be happy to assist you and provide the necessary information.

How long does it take to process and ship an order?

Orders placed before 2 PM EST will be processed and shipped that very same day; orders placed after will be processed and shipped expediently on the following business day. Just one exception to keep in mind: our fulfillment center closes at 10 AM EST every 2nd Tuesday of the month.

I entered the incorrect address when placing my order.

All good, we’ll correct that for you right away! Just contact support@covetandmane.com so that we can update your shipping address ASAP.

How can I cancel my order before it ships?

If you change your mind about an order, reach out to support@covetandmane.com right away. We’ll do everything we can to cancel it, but since we process and ship orders almost as soon as they’re received, it might be too late.

My order has shipped, but I want to cancel it.

Unfortunately, we can’t cancel an order after it’s left our fulfillment center. But once you receive your package, go ahead and submit a refund request in your account portal. We’ll email you a return label and instructions so that you can return your order for a full refund — no worries.

I haven’t received my order, and it’s past the scheduled delivery date.

We’re sorry to hear that, and will work to correct it right away. Please contact support@covetandmane.com so that we can sort this out for you.

My package was marked delivered but I haven’t received it.

Please reach out to support@covetandmane.com so that we can figure out what went wrong. Just a heads up: missing packages must be reported within 7 days of the scheduled delivery date, so if more time has passed, we’re afraid we can’t do much to remedy the situation.
